I haven't posted in a while mostly because I was busy but partially because I wasn't wowed by anything out right now. There wasn't anything I was really itching to have. Nothing that I continually searched just to look at how pretty it was. Fashion needs to step it up. Until then, I'm back to this. Sharing the things that I love.

This post is about work wear. This summer I worked at an investment bank and the one thing I have to say is as great as it was, the fashion can be so boring. Why? When you're selling banking services to a company I, along with many other people, will not be sold on your drab gray that makes you look like you're dead inside. If I'm going to be spending hours and hours of time with you while you take care of my IPO, I want to know you have a personality.

If I had a company that I was taking public and an I-Banker walked in wearing this, I'd hire her.

I love the Marc Jacobs Totally Turnlock Collection, anything that comes out under the umbrella, although I do have some favorites.

The Marc Jacobs "Faridah". It's my favorite and it comes in tons of colors. There aren't that many listings for it anymore on eBay or Google shopping because it is a little on the older side.

Novella Royale

Ok so Novella Royale is a little intense. Their design perspective is a little more out there than most people are comfortable with but they do make some kick-ass bags. One of my other favorite bags is the Novella Royale Mister, a favorite among celebrities too. I love the studs, they're cool and edgy but without looking too much like a wannabe rockstar.

They are also some other styles available with the same studs motif. There's a clutch called Paperdoll and a bigger version of the Mister with a crossbody strap called the Miss.

Nail Polish

So I'm just as in love with Nail Polish as I am with Fashion and Beauty. Although, now that I think about I guess nail polish sort of falls under beauty, but still. Anyway so it all started when I saw Demi Moore wearing this mushroom colored nail polish by Deborah Lippman. Now the Deborah Lippman bottle is $16 and while I have expensive taste, I was not spending that much on a bottle of nail polish. My max is like $10 for a bottle of OPI (yes I realize those prices aren't that different). Anyway with the wealth of nail polishes available from OPI, Essie, Orly, and drug store brands, I was convinced finding a look-a-like would be simple. It was not, but I did get the job done. I found it at Bed, Bath and Beyond one day, it's called High Society by Color Club. It was $3, and I'm obsessed. It has become a favorite around my family because not only is it a beautiful color but it's actually really good quality. It doesn't chip too easily, it lasts and it goes on nice and smooth (be warned though, although many Color Club Nail Polishes are awesome, there are some have some weird texture that's a mix between transparent and matte). Anyway here's a look at the color:

Why I Hate The Typical Crocs Wearer, And It's Not Why You Think

So I was going to do this post eventually, but its timing was pushed up by a conversation with my cousin. I hate the average Crocs wearer! The typical Crocs wearer wears that version. You know the one, the one where it looks like you had orthopedic surgery on both feet and just got off a 16 hour workday as a medical professional, the ones that even your grandmother would be like "Ew." (provided she wasn't already one of those wearers). Well if you don't know, here's a refresher:

Oh god, they're burning my eyes. Not really, but come on, I mean those are not stylish. And that's why I hate the typical Crocs wearer, because they give up style in the name of comfort, when if they had put in the slightest bit more effort they would realize that CROCS MAKES CUTE SHOES!! And they're just as comfortable, they have the same CrocsLite Technology and feel like you're walking on air, while making you look your own age instead of about 85 years older. I love and own this style, although sadly they are not available anymore. I still want you to know about them because I believe they are still eBaying. They have a blueish tint in the picture but they are actually very bright, light, vivid silver.

Just dress it up with some awesome jewelry and some killer heels, or to dress it down throw on a cardigan (I would choose one with a bold print or color), keep jewelry simple, throw on some flats, and you're good to go. Coach Hamptons Vintage Leather Hobo

Just another bag I'm obsessed with. I love, love, love both colors and I love that it looks so modern and fresh and at the same time, it's such a classic piece. I haven't seen the bag first hand but being an owner of a sizable Coach collection, I can tell you first hand that the leather is supple, soft, delicate, and high quality.

The Valentino 360 Sequin Bag

Although released about 2 years ago, this is the bag that I would die to get my hands on. I have 2 pairs of glitter flats and I love the way they sparkle and shine and add something missing to any outfit, no matter what the other pieces are. If I'm wearing black head-to-toe the 360 piece would be a major statement, if I'm covered in colors head-to-toe, the 360 piece just sort of blends. The Valentino 360 has many different styles but I'm particularly in love with the Sequined version, especially the silver version. I'm including pictures of the black and brown version but unfortunately most pictures of the silver version also include Jessica Simpson and that could become messy with copyrights and what not, but Google it. It's worth the look.

The Beginning of Blogging and Embracing Cult Life

So...fads. They're cool for a while, people submit to them, and then 20 years later you'll look back and decide that you were an idiot for following the fad in the first place (you know, because by that time you are totally above fads...). Sometimes though fads aren't really fads and are instead just revamps of classics. Blogging is one of those "fads." Self expression has always and will always be popular and blogging is just a new way of doing it. So I give in. It makes sense that I would considering that color is pretty much my life philosophy, especially in fashion and beauty choices.

That brings me to my next topic. I love Fashion and Beauty and I'm finally ready to embrace the cult-like obsession I've been harboring. From the constant Google searches and the eBay checks (just to see if my favorite fashion pieces make it to the online market) to the steady stream of posts from other (famous) fashion blogs that I check, I finally decided that maybe it's time to just admit I'm obsessed and focus my energy on my point of view.
